Born in 1981 in Greece, Chrissy combines the romantic soul of a dreamer and the bold spirit of an activist. Coming from a family of pedagogues and theologians, she was engaged from an early age supporting social vulnerable communities. Philosophy, selfawareness and social liberation were a daily discussion at the family table of the farm house she grew up.
She studied Pedagogy at the University of Athens, comparative sciences in UK, and holds an MPhil in “Diversity as Value”. Since 2006 years, Chrissy has been both a traveler, a social pedagogue and a passionate public primary school teacher in Greece. She has a background in art, music, and theatre that blends intuition with structured thinking. Committed to social justice, she designs inclusion programs for vulnerable groups such as migrants, refugees, and incarcerated women. She believes in the transformative power of genuine, informal, warm relations, as the agent of authentic learning and inner growth.
Her innovative Omikron Omega (ΟΩ) pedagogical approach, which focuses on wholeperson development, has gained international recognition from organizations such as the Lego Foundation and Ashoka Changemakers. She remains passionate creating reflective, experiential learning environments, transforming communities, nurturing conscious, emancipated, and ever-evolving learners and educators.
She is currently into “Seeds of Culture”, a teachers training research project that is
transforming selected schools of global south into learning communities, while
harvesting “seeds” of ancestry wisdom precious for humanity in times of postmodernity.
